The Editing Process of

Here is a picture that I took while I was visiting the Oregon coast the summer of 2002. As you can tell, it did not turn out very well.

To start off with, the picture has a foogy look (usually overexposure, but in this case fog) so I took away brightness and added contrast.

Next, I didn't like the composition of the picture so I crooped it so it would follow the thirds rule, which instantly made it more interesting.

Then while playing with the toggles of the photo editor I brought down the brightness and brought up the contrast to 100% and found this amazing effect.
