I created Crystal’s Goodies when I was ten years old. It was originally a candy business; Candy that I made, marketed, and distributed with the help of my mom. It started at a preview night to a business seminar that my mom was a host of. I was there because I had no place better. I listened to the preview. They were speaking on taking an idea of a business, and within almost no time, get it into full production. I got the idea of making and selling Toffee Roca (almost everyone has at least one sweet tooth). Toffee Roca is a candy that has three layers. The top and bottom layers are chocolate (with or without nuts). The middle layer is a hard and crunchy caramel-like candy called toffee. The recipe was passed down to me through friends and family. Right away I got to making the Toffee Roca and selling it at the previews. I also made other desserts such as brownies, cookies, and peanut butter balls. With the income from these treats I was able to pay my way, and my sister's, to the business seminar, which was held down in Long Beach, California. There I learned everything about getting my business up and running. And I had a blast learning it all. I was ready for Crystal's Goodies. Well, I thought I was ready. As soon as I got started and got to a difficult jump (from Crystal's Goodies being in my kitchen to being in a commercial kitchen) I realized that I was only 10 years old and wanted to be a kid. I put Crystal's Goodies aside and went back to my friends and homework. Now, seven years later, when attending another business seminar, I realized that I am old enough to get it up and going, and that I really want to this to be successful. I am currently looking for business consultants to help me get through the next step. And I am looking for leads on kitchens that can host my business. Currently, I am not making candy under Crystal's Goodies. At this moment, Crystal's Goodies is a host name to two ideas: the candy and my artwork. My artwork is temporarily being marketed under the name Crystal's Goodies, for my artwork is a form of goodies and I feel the name suits my artwork well.
